SOCIAL MEDIA MARKETING: BUILD TRUST, NOT PRESSURE

Free, self-guided training • Learn to create useful content for Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok. Work through each lesson at your own pace. No posting, account connection, or automated publishing happens here.

LESSON 1 • CHOOSE YOUR AUDIENCE

Describe who you want to help, what they struggle with, and what useful result they're seeking. Pick one main topic so your content feels consistent.

Assignment: Write “I create content for [audience] who want help with [challenge].” Then list three questions they ask.

LESSON 2 • PICK YOUR PLATFORMS

Facebook: Start conversations with useful posts and community discussions. Instagram: Use visual posts, carousels, Stories, and short Reels. TikTok: Share short, clear videos with a strong opening and one useful takeaway. Choose one platform to start; repurpose thoughtfully rather than trying everything at once.

Assignment: Choose your primary platform and explain why your audience spends time there.

LESSON 3 • CREATE A CONTENT PLAN

Rotate among three content themes: teach a practical tip, share a relatable story, and invite a genuine question. Avoid making every post a sales pitch.

Assignment: Plan three posts for the next week: one tip, one story, and one question.

LESSON 4 • WRITE AN ENGAGING POST

Use a simple structure: opening hook → useful insight → one example → friendly invitation to respond. Be specific and avoid unsupported income or results claims.

Assignment: Draft a Facebook post that teaches one small step and ends with an honest question.

LESSON 5 • MAKE AN INSTAGRAM REEL OR CAROUSEL

For a Reel: introduce the problem in the first few seconds, show one practical solution, and finish with a clear takeaway. For a carousel: use a title slide, three helpful steps, and a summary. Add captions or readable text for accessibility.

Assignment: Outline a 20–30 second Reel or a five-slide carousel using your own example.

LESSON 6 • CREATE A HELPFUL TIKTOK

Start with a question your audience recognizes. Explain one useful tip in everyday language. Use natural delivery, readable captions, and an invitation to share experiences. Use music and footage you have permission to use.

Assignment: Write a 30-second script: hook (5 seconds), tip (20 seconds), closing question (5 seconds).

LESSON 7 • RESPOND AND BUILD TRUST

Reply thoughtfully to real comments, answer questions, and respect people's boundaries. Never pressure strangers in direct messages or use fake engagement. Disclose paid partnerships and affiliate relationships when applicable.

Assignment: Draft three helpful responses to common questions about your topic.

LESSON 8 • REVIEW WHAT WORKS

Look for meaningful signals: relevant comments, saves, profile visits, and conversations—not just view counts. Compare content over time, then improve one thing at a time.

Assignment: Create a simple weekly scorecard: posts published, useful conversations, best-performing topic, and next improvement.
